‘Glimpses of Singapore 31 December 2008, A Photographic Journal by People with Physical Disabilities’ is a compilation of almost 50 images of Singapore that 13 physically disabled trainees from SPD’s Multimedia Centre (MMC) and IT Apprenticeship Programme (ITAP) captured at a photography event held on the last day of 2008.

This coffee table book is the material fruit borne of the creative sparks of these extraordinary people. They are an inspiration to all who see their work, and prove that anything is possible for those who have the courage to follow their dreams. The photographs are a showcase of how the trainees view the world from their wheelchairs. Through this photography project, they found a new platform from which they can express themselves and find independence and self-reliance.
