SPD Charity Show 2007
SPD Thanks All Supporters for Making It's First Charity Show a Success!
The Society for the Physically Disabled achieved its target of $3.5 million in its first Charity Show, broadcast live on Channel 8 on 15 July 2007. The amount of $3.86 million has contributed significantly to its annual fundraising target of $5 million this year. We sincerely thank our partners, donors, volunteers and supporters who helped make the show possible and a success.
Funds raised from the show will help to provide rehabilitation services, employment, training, education, consultation and assessment in assistive technology, day care, and social service support for more than 2,000 disabled people. It will also help to fund our new centre SPD@Tampines in providing rehabilitation services for children and adults, where we hope to help about 600 more people by March 2008.
We look forward to the continued support of the public in support of people with physical disabilities.
