AT Devices
The Specialised Assistive Technology Centre (ATC) has a wide range of AT devices available for loan. Loan of devices are for the following purposes:
- Trial
- Training
- Temporary Accommodation

Fees
Charges include a deposit and nominal rental fees, and is based on the requested AT device. Subsidies are available for deposit and rental fees on a case-by-case basis.

Loan Policies & Regulations
- This loan scheme is applicable to Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents only.
- Loans are processed on a first come, first serve basis.
- The loan may be requested by a person with disabilities, family members or together with a service provider (eg therapists and teachers).
- The borrower agrees to comply with any restriction and limitations that is part of the loan, such as copyrights and patency regulation.
- The borrower agrees to pay for any damage due to negligence.
- The borrower may loan the AT device(s) up to a period of 4 weeks.
- Loan period of more than 4 weeks will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- A loan extension may be possible and must be requested at least 3 days prior to the due date if the loan period is less than 1 week, and 1 week prior to the due date if the loan period is more than 1 week. However, this request will be dependent on the current waiting list. There will be additional cost, billed at the original rate for the extended period.
- Anyone who fails to comply with the conditions agreed to in previous loans will NOT be considered for additional loans until a positive plan for future compliance is presented to and approved by the Director of the Specialised ATC.
Procedures
- A completed and signed original AT Device Loan Form with required deposit and rental fees must be paid to the Specialised ATC.
- Payments can be made by cash and cheque only.
- The Specialised ATC staff will check each item returned to assure that it is working properly and that all necessary parts are included. The borrower will be billed for any replacement or repair costs.
