Intership
Want to create a job opportunity for people with disabilities but unsure where to start?
Do consider giving our trainees a start through an internship with your organisation.
SPD’s Vocational Training internship programme gives people with disabilities the opportunity to discover their suitability for employment in your organisation. Our trainees have benefited from working as an intern in the areas of graphic design, office admin and call centre, after which, some have eventually found full-time employment in the companies they’ve interned with. You’ll also be glad to know that the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) provides funding for you in hiring people with disabilities as interns. Read here for more details. As part of our contribution to facilitate the integration of people with disabilities into their new work environment, we provide job coaches, and orientation workshop for your staff to understand more about working with disabled people.
Here are some of the types of internship positions we hope you can offer to us:
- Office admin clerk
- Bookkeeping assistant
- Web designer
- Junior Graphic Designer
- Data-entry clerk
- Call centre assistant
