Tuition
Volunteers coach needy students with physical disabilities or students with physically disabled parent(s) who have problems with their schoolwork. The sessions are conducted at the homes of the students.
How you can help
Volunteers help the beneficiaries improve in their academic performance in mainstream schools.
Commitment
Tutors need to be committed on a regular basis for at least six months. Volunteers would be matched with beneficiaries based on special requests as to academic level, age group, location, race and gender.
Volunteers are free to arrange a mutually suitable time with the beneficiary for the tuition sessions.
Criteria
Prior teaching/tutoring experience would be an advantage. Tutors will work closely with and provide relevant feedback concerning the students' progress and wellbeing to the Social Workers.
