The ‘I Accept’ campaign is a fundraising cum public education event aimed at encouraging the inclusion and acceptance of people with disabilities as equal members at work, in school and in the community. Show your support by making a pledge of donation or purchasing the specially designed ‘I Accept’ badges or t-shirts. More ‘I Accept’ activities will be rolled out in the upcoming months, so watch out for them here and on SPD’s Facebook page!

Part of the ‘SOW – It’s Time To Grow’, The Tweet Meet aims to connect more people with disabilities to the online world and encourage them to take up IT skills through this civic movement. You can participate by tweeting about the movement at #TweetMeetSG, join the Facebook group The Tweet Meet SG and pledge your attendance at the event. You can also be a volunteer to help out at the event or sign up somebody you know with disabilities who will benefit from one of the highly subsidised IT courses available at the Centre

The SPD Flag Day is one of SPD’s major fundraising activities. It also serves as a very good platform to create greater awareness of SPD’s mission and programmes and services. Funds raised will go towards providing quality programmes and services for people with physical disabilities.

Tiger Balm of Haw Par Healthcare celebrated the Lunar New Year with the Tiger Balm Record Roar 2010 at the Underwater World Singapore. Apart from games and song performances by SPD’s clients, one of the main draws of the event was an attempt to leap into the Singapore Book of Records with the largest number of people born in the Year of Tiger gathered at one place. The event attracted 308 participants
