SPD and the Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation (APB Foundation) will launch a groceries project which will see APB Foundation employee volunteers deliver groceries to financially disadvantaged families with physical disabilities.
The APB Foundation Groceries for Charity Programme will help to address two key needs of physically challenged families – food and mobility. The door-to-door grocery delivery will supplement the families’ need for basic foodstuffs beyond their usual grocery supplies. It will also alleviate the inconvenience of having to buy the groceries themselves. The families were identified by SPD and include those with physically disabled children or physically disabled parents. They are located throughout Singapore.
