Responsibilities

1.       Administration

1.1. Responsible to the Senior Assistant Director and Director, Adult & Elderly Services in all matters pertaining to administration, operations and control of SPD’s RC HQ and TTE programmes.
1.2. Recommend policies and practices for the efficient and effective operation and management of services under their purview and assist the Senior Assistant Director/Director in implementing those policies and practices.

2. Service Development & Sustainability

2.1. Assist the Senior Assistant Director/Director in organizational planning i.e. strategic planning, programme planning and services review of the programmes.
2.2. Assist the Senior Assistant Director/Director in ensuring the sustainability of the programmes, including funding exploration and renewals.

3. Networking

3.1. Responsible for outreach to referral agencies such as community organisations and hospitals for client referrals to the RC HQ and TTE.
3.2. Participate in events organised or supported by SPD and assist the organisation in developing strong networks with other Social Service Agencies (SSA’s), community organizations, funding bodies like MOH, MSF, NCSS, SG Enable, AIC and business corporations to solicit programme funding to sustain the financial viability of the programmes and services offered.

4. Operations/ Professional Matters

4.1. Supervise a multidisciplinary professional team including social workers, therapists, employment support specialists, clinical support staff and administrative staff, and work with various government as well as community based organisations to offer services to adults and elderly with disabilities.
4.2. Assist the Senior Assistant Director/Director by leading the professional team in developing the service models, setting service guidelines/standards and monitoring service delivery of programmes.
4.3. Preparation for programme audits pertaining to subvention, MOH centre-based guidelines, service quality, SGE (Hospital to Work, JPJS) on annual, bi-annual basis.
4.4. Responsible for achieving key performance indicators, providing progress reports and assisting in data analysis for planning and reporting purposes.
4.5. Keep abreast of latest development in service delivery of related areas to ensure that service delivery for our clients are kept updated.
4.6. Assist in submission of indicators to all relevant funding agencies such as MOH, MSF, NCSS and SG Enable etc. Coordinate the claims for submission to funding agencies.
4.7. Assist Senior Assistant Director/Director in preparing annual budget for the centres.

5.       Other Duties

5.1. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • Masters or Bachelors degree in any discipline from a good University. Degree related to health sciences preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in managing programmes for in a social service agency.
  • Excellent management and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills with ability to adapt to changing sector dynamics.
  • A good understanding and knowledge of the sector and dynamics.
