Job Description
In the course of this part-time arrangement lasting 6-9 months, you’ll have the opportunity to represent one of Singapore’s most established social services organizations in its goal to serve more families of persons with disabilities.
Supporting the efforts of the Community Inclusion & Engagement and Volunteer Management teams, you’ll be doing a mix of door-to-door outreach as well as outreach booth support within the East Side of Singapore (Tampines, Simei, Bedok, Chai Chee, Siglap areas).
The aim is to introduce and connect both persons with disabilites and potential volunteers with SPD’s various programmes.
The role entails both outreach promotion as well as consolidating Door-to-Door and Volunteer Management data.
You’d make a great fit for this role if you are…
- Competent in basic MS Excel skills
- Able to travel around the East Side of Singapore
- Eager to champion services for persons with disabilities
- Willing to work non regular hours (8am to 5.30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and 10am to 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays – may be subject to some adjustment)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage effectively with diverse audience on a one-to-one level
- Professional and presentable, in-line with the role’s requirements to represent the organization’s respectable programmes
- Conversant and adaptable
