A message from Mr Abhimanyau Pal, Executive Director of SPD, to all friends, partners and colleagues.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We have come almost to the tail-end of the year, and as we look back at the events and milestones that took place over the last 12 months, we have many people to thank for.

Our deepest gratitude goes to our donors, corporate partners and volunteers whose generosity and kindness have shown us that the spirit of giving is around us all year round. Very often, it is such support and the smiles of our beneficiaries that drive us to do better and push harder to improve the quality of lives of people with disabilities amongst us.

I would also like to thank everyone at SPD whose dedication and compassion are truly commendable. They are real troopers!

With Singapore’s ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities this year, we expect a more bustling social service sector in the coming months and we have every wish to be part of this action.

2014 holds the promise of an exciting year for us as we celebrate our golden jubilee. We are planning a host of activities throughout the year to commemorate this momentous occasion and we look forward to seeing everyone at these engagements.
