SINGAPORE, 30 April 2019 – 96 golfers gathered at the Orchid Country Club today for the SPD Charity Golf 2019. This was the first time that the event was held there following three consecutive years at the Raffles Country Club.
Golfers took on various challenges, including putting with one hand into an oversized hole, to raise $158,600 for local charity SPD and people with disabilities whom it serves.
The novelty challenges incorporated into the 18-hole game have been highlights at the SPD Charity Golf tournaments.
“I am glad that the sponsors and golfers were so sporting in accepting each other’s challenge to play their best to help raise funds for people with disabilities. I would like to thank them for believing in our cause and donating generously today,” said SPD President Ms Chia Yong Yong.
