SPD convened its 61st Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, 23 August 2025, at its headquarters in Tiong Bahru.
Members were updated on key milestones achieved in FY2024/2025 (from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025), including the opening of two new senior care centres (SCCs) – in Canberra, now operating at 80% capacity, and Melody Spring Yishun at 40% capacity. Two new centres offering the Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children (EIPIC) were also established in Kembangan and Jurong West.
In line with sector developments, members were briefed on a pilot project by the Ministry of Social and Family Development that will see the SPD Day Activity Centre and SPD Sheltered Workshop coming under the new Enabling Skills for Life Programme (ESLP) in October 2025.
Operational highlights included the SPD Contact Centre which secured five new contracts and achieved a 60% increase in revenue. SPD was also re-appointed to run the Take-A-Break (TAB) Programme following a successful pilot.
The Annual Report and Audited Accounts for FY2024/2025 were adopted by the members at the AGM.

Members also approved the appointment of Baker Tilly TFW LLP as the external auditor for FY2025/2026, underscoring SPD’s commitment to sound governance, transparency, and accountability.
