We have been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International for a period of three years for the Continuing Therapy Programme (CTP) and SPD Rehabilitation Centres. This is the first time any local community-based outpatient rehabilitation programme for children and adults in Singapore have been accredited by CARF International.

As part of our pursuit of organisational excellence, we had sought accreditation with CARF International, one of the most established international accreditation bodies for community rehabilitation programmes, with the support of the National Council of Social Service.

We underwent stringent reviews and assessments with on-site visits from the CARF survey team.

“This accreditation signals our commitment to continually improve our services, listen to your feedback, and serve the community better. In the past one year, SPD as an organisation has gone through a rigorous reviewing process and our staff have demonstrated to CARF assessors during on-site visits our dedication to offering programmes and services that are measureable, accountable and of the highest quality,” said Mr Abhimanyau Pal, Executive Director, SPD.

With this CARF accreditation, we hope to give people with disabilities and their families, as well as organisations and individuals helping us in one way or another, the confidence to continue putting their trust in us as it underscores our commitment to provide quality services to the community we serve.
