SPD, nominated by KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) as its working partner, joined the hospital in receiving the NTUC May Day Model Partnership Awards (Category C – Management and Union/Partners) on 24 May in a ceremony organised by NTUC and held at the Devan Nair Institute for Employment and Employability. The event was attended by some 500 award winners and guests.

The long standing partnership with SPD has enabled KKH to extend employment opportunities to persons with disabilities and through that, embrace a more diverse workforce.

Recipients of the awards and their partners received the awards from Guest-of-Honour Mr Stephen Lee, President of the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) and NTUC President Ms Diana Chia at the awards ceremony. Themed ‘Better Workers, Better Jobs’, the event recognised the recipients for their initiated efforts in productivity improvements, improving workers’ jobs and putting in place good workplace practices. It also paid tribute to individuals who were adaptable and continued to upgrade their skills.
