In conjunction with the International Volunteer Day on 5 December 2017, SPD held its annual Volunteers Appreciation Day on Saturday, 2 December. About 230 volunteers and guests were treated to a sumptuous breakfast before the screening of blockbuster movie “Justice League” at Filmgarde Bugis+.

The International Volunteer Day (IVD) is held each year on 5 December and is viewed as an opportunity for volunteers and organisations to celebrate their efforts, share their values and promote their work in their communities.

Similarly, the SPD’s Volunteers Appreciation Day had allowed volunteers to come together and share their experiences and, for a change, be taken care of at an event.

“I thank SPD for this thoughtful gesture. It was a good chance to meet the current and new volunteers,”

said Mr Chow Mun Zing, a volunteer with SPD’s Freedom Adventure Club since 2010.
