The SPD “Let’s Focus on Inclusion!” photo contest was held from September to December last year. Singaporeans were encouraged to whip out their smartphones or cameras to capture moments of inclusion. The winning photos are now roving different parts of Singapore to spread the message of inclusion of people with disabilites.

Winning Entries

Open Category
First Prize: Wong Chek Poh
Second Prize: Chua Meng Hong Andy
Third Prize: Wu Zong Tang

Among a total of 500 entries, Mr Wong Chek Poh’s photo grabbed the attention of the judges. His photograph of a parent in wheelchair being included in a family outing, depicting families not forgetting their loved ones with disabilities, won him the top prize in the Open category.

First Prize: Lam Yee Siang Adrian
Second Prize: Koh Shu Ying Denise
Third Prize: Vazhaparambil Raveendran Ranjith

“Together We Can Do It!” is the winning photo in the Facebook category by Mr Adrian Lam which shows students participating in an activity in a 2-day-1-night camp organised by Buddy’IN, a peer programme between ITE and special education (SPED) school students that aims at developing friendship between students with and without disabilities.

The winners were recognised at an award ceremony held at the Central Public Library in conjunction with the launch of the “Breaking Barriers” campaign on 10 February 2017.
