Dr May Lim is an Associate Professor and the Assistant Provost (Applied Learning) at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). Prior to this, she served as SIT’s Director of Centre for Learning Environment and Assessment Development (CoLEAD) between 2017 and 2022.

A veteran in the education sector, Dr Lim played a key role in shaping policies that address teaching and learning, assessment as well as academic integrity. She had contributed towards the research in areas such as experiential learning and learning space, and was also instrumental in equipping university educators with coaching skills that support students with academic issues or struggles in workplace learning. She actively involves persons with disability in teaching and assessing her students.   An experienced occupational therapist by profession, Dr Lim had worked with children with developmental delay and disorders in Singapore and Australia. She previously led the Bachelor of Science (with Honours) in Occupational Therapy degree at SIT and was involved in the consultation of national projects including the establishment of early intervention centres.

Dr Lim received the SIT Teaching Excellence Award and the Ministry of Education Tertiary Education Research Fund (TRF) in 2016, 2019 and 2021. She was also a recipient of the Education 2.0 Outstanding Leadership Award 2022, an international award that recognises trailblazers who have made significant contributions to education.  Dr Lim was involved in the Education & Programmes Sub-Committee for Rainbow Centre from October 2014 to September 2016.
