Director, Community Partnerships
A long-serving staff in SPD, Katherine joined the organisation in 1999 in a fundraising role. She was appointed Director of Community Partnerships in 2022, where she heads the fundraising as well as communications and outreach functions for SPD.
Her career in the social service sector began in 1993 when she joined Community Chest, the fundraising arm of the National Council of Social Service. There, she was given opportunities to work on fundraising projects of various scales to benefit different pockets of the community who needed help. Joining SPD, her scope was widened to encompass communications which allowed her to use her skills to greater effect.
Katherine found her passion for social service while in her teens. She is happy to be able to fulfil her aspiration through her work, and to be able to contribute to helping Singapore’s disadvantaged and vulnerable through her efforts.
Katherine holds a Bachelor of Arts (Mass Communications) from RMIT University.
