Ms Teo Pek Wan

Director, Adult and Elderly Services

Pek Wan joined SPD in July 2016 to serve out a bond under the Lien Foundation Scholarship for Social Service Leaders, and where she initially helmed advocacy and social work. She was later appointed Director for Adult and Elderly Services in January 2020, having held leadership role in the division since 2019.  Pek Wan oversees the training and employment service continuum, rehabilitation services as well as case management and caregiver support.

In her former role at the National Council of Social Service, Pek Wan led service planning and development for disability services. She oversaw the management of over 120 disability services and helped to shape the disability landscape by charting and identifying service gaps and co-creating pioneering services with social service agencies. Pek Wan had also held the children, youth and family service portfolio, where she conducted programme evaluation and produced performance and trend reports for 230 programmes.

Pek Wan had conducted training for the flagship programme evaluation course for non-profit organisations at the Social Service Institute. Other work experiences include driving disability policy at the Ministry of Social & Family Development, managing social assistance in the Community Development Council and engaging in direct social work practice.

Pek Wan holds a Master in Public Administration from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, and is a social work graduate from the National University of Singapore.
