Artistes from Zoom! Academy visited the people with disabilities at our Day Activity Centre (DAC) on 20 January. With a repertoire of familiar Lunar New Year tunes, they entertained the clients with songs as well as magic tricks and skits. They also handed out hongbaos to everyone at the DAC and Sheltered Workshop.

Singapore Soka Association
A visit to Chinatown with volunteers from the Singapore Soka Association is what our clients from the DAC always look forward to when the Lunar New Year is round the corner. And so, on 23 January, 30 DAC clients accompanied by 50 Soka volunteers set off to the most bustling part of the island this time of the year and enjoyed the sights and sounds of the festivities.
Over 60 Microsoft leaders from all over Asia Pacific visited the SPD Ability Centre on 13 February to spend half a day with people with disabilities here. The visit began with a tour of SPD Ability Centre followed by lunch, sponsored by Microsoft Singapore, with close to 180 clients. The volunteers then spent time engaging with the clients at the DAC and Sheltered Workshop and handing out hongbaos to the clients before immersing themselves in the various aspects of assistive technology.
