Enabling Skills for Life Programme
The Enabling Skills for Life Programme (ESLP) is an initiative by the Ministry of Social and Family Development and SG Enable. The programme aims to equip persons with disabilities with independent living and vocational skills, empowering them to navigate daily life at home and in the community with greater confidence, and to integrate well into vocational settings. The programme also engages and provides support services for their caregivers and families.
Training Framework
- Independent living skills
- Communication and language
- Social emotional skills
- Vocational skills
- Behaviour management
Application Criteria*
- 18 years old and above
- A Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Have a permanent disability based on any one of the following:
- Requires assistance with at least one of the six Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) due to physical impairment
- Moderate visual impairment or worse in the better eye
- Moderate hearing loss or worse in the better ear
- Intellectual disability
- Autism
Proof of disability must be provided using the Disability Verification Form completed by a relevant registered Healthcare Professional.
- Applicants should not have any untreated infectious disease.
