Home-based befriending

As the befriender will be tasked to make home visits to check in on his wellbeing and support him on his stroke recovery, it is preferred for the volunteer to possess an understanding of the difficulties of managing life post-stroke. - Admiralty Drive

Tutoring and befriending a female client in her early teens with physical disability. The volunteer will be tasked to help tutor her in Secondary 2 and 3 English and Literature while another volunteer will befriend and engage her socially. Befriender for a lady in her 40s. She is physically and emotionally isolated due to her limited mobility. The befriending will help to keep her socially connected and engaged. Other than befriending, this volunteer will also be tasked to assist the client with pushing her wheelchair and accompanying her via bus to/fro her residence and the nearby community centre to attend SPD activities on Tuesdays (10am-12pm) and/or Wednesdays (2pm-4pm). - Tampines North

Befriending a lady in her 40s with disability and her elderly mother who is her main caregiver. Both are currently not engaged in any programme nor activities and spend most of their time at home. The volunteer(s) will help to engage them and lessen social isolation, while at the same time encouraging the beneficiary to participate in outside activities (with SPD Enabling Services Hub). - Tampines St 81

Befriending a lady in her 50s who is a stroke survivor with limited mobility, as well as her two adult children with disability. Her mother is protective of her and disapprove her mingling with people in the neighbourhood for fear of her safety. Befriender will help to chat and keep her company, lessening her feelings of loneliness and isolation. - Telok Blangah

Befriending for a female client in her 70s with stroke. She is articulate and enjoys good conversation. Looking for a befriender who enjoys interacting with seniors. Part of the role of the befriender would be to bring the client to the supermarket to shop for groceries and food materials as she enjoys cooking. The befriending will help increase her community ambulation and as well as increase her quality of life with good nutrition. - Toa Payoh Central

"DAC without walls" DWW seeks to integrate our clients in the community through exposure and socializing in various community settings. We are looking for volunteers to engage them in leisure, recreational and sports actvities with our community partners. - Clementi/ Harbourfront/ Tiong Bahru

We are recruiting Medical Buddy volunteers to accompany beneficiaries for medical appointments. Our beneficiaries may need support and assistance to travel from their home to the hospital/ clinic for their medical appointments. Volunteers can help to assist on medicine collection, confirm their next medical appointment and ensuring the necessary documents has been prepared for the appointment. - Around Singapore

We are recruiting volunteers to join us as Hydrotherapy Assistants! Transition to Employment Programme is running an aquatic exercise group for adults with disabilities.
