Mr Abhimanyau Pal has been the Chief Executive Officer of SPD since December 2010, and has more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare and social service sectors, working with children, adults and the elderly with various clinical conditions in different settings.
One of the pioneers in championing outcome management initiatives in the social service sector in Singapore, Mr Pal is actively involved in developing best practices guidelines in service delivery, performance evaluation and outcome management system led by the National Council of Social Service (NCSS). He is also a regular trainer for these topics at the Social Service Institute (SSI).
Mr Pal is actively involved in the working committees of various Government ministries, statutory boards and schools. He is a member of Ministry of Health’s National One Rehab Steering Committee, the Allied Health Professions Council and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital Medifund Committee; Singapore Institute of Technology’s Qualifying Examinations Board of Examiners and the Industry Advisory Committee for Health Sciences Programmes; Ministry of Communication and Information’s Digital Readiness Network; and the Social Service SkillsFuture Tripartite Taskforce’s Curriculum and Professional Practice Workstream co-which the Ministry of Social and Family Development and the NCSS co-chairs. A Social Service Fellow, Mr Pal sits on NCSS’ Leadership Selection Panel and mentors participants under its Sun Ray Programme. In 2017, he was invited to join the Disability Sports Implementation Committee, chaired by the Ministry for Culture, Community and Youth, to help develop a thriving disability sports ecosystem in Singapore. In the same year, he also joined the SG Cares Steering Committee.
