The SPD Charity Hongbao is an annual fundraising initiative that encourages individuals and organisations within the community to contribute through the meaningful tradition of giving a hongbao. This effort not only encourages personal and corporate generosity but also inspires everyone—family, friends, colleagues, and employees—to join in the spirit of giving during the festive season. Together, this ripple effect unites the community as a powerful force for positive change, creating a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of people with disabilities.
Schools and students
SPD Charity Hongbao partners with schools to reinforce the values of compassion and giving, complement their efforts to shape the character of our children. Corporate organisations
Participating companies are encouraged to actively engage their employees and business partners/customers urging them to contribute during the festive celebrations, enhancing the joy of the celebrations and creating a deeper sense of meaning, knowing they have played a part in improving the lives of persons with disabilities, making a tangible difference. Mechanics
Participating companies/schools will be given SPD Hongbao packets to be distributed to their employees/students and encouraging them to insert their contributions into the hongbao packets and dropping them into the collection boxes provided by SPD. SPD will retrieve the collection boxes after the Chinese New Year holidays.

Come and be part of the SPD Ability Walk 2024 in celebration of our diamond jubilee! Embark on a nostalgic journey along the stunning Singapore River and travelling back in time to play games from earlier days. This year, we hope to make it a memorable experience for all, allowing the younger generation to engage in, and the older generation to fondly reminisce, the past.
We will be bringing back the carnival and participants can look forward to a fun-filled carnival with interactive games and disability simulation activities after the walk. This year, we are privileged to have the presence of Mr Alvin Tan, Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and Ministry of Trade and Industry, who will grace the event as our guest-of honour.

Event T-shirt & Goodie Bag Collection
Participants are to collect your event T-shirt & goodie bag at the following location on these dates between the stipulated timings:
Venue: Tiong Bahru Plaza Pop-Up Concept Store, 302 Tiong Bahru Road, Singapore 168732

Time: 11am to 7pm
Alight at Tiong Bahru MRT Station (EW17) and head up to the street level via Exit B. The Pop-Up Concept Store is a glass container located outside the main entrance of Tiong Bahru Plaza, behind the bus stop.
All successfully registered participants are to bring along either the printed copy or softcopy of the confirmation e-mail for verification purpose.
For those participants who had missed the collection at Tiong Bahru Plaza, you can still collect your event tee & goodie bag at the following location, dates & timings

This year, Kowloon Club Singapore will be raising funds for SPD through their Chinese Golden Hits Charity Dinner 2023 featuring local artists belting out classic hit songs from legendary Cantopop’s icons – Danny Chan, Wong Ka Kui, Leslie Cheung and Anita Mui ruled at genre’s golden age. Kowloon Club Singapore aims to raise S$200,000 from this event and funds raised will be channelled to help persons with disabilities, especially those from the lower income group access the programmes and services offered at SPD.
