Born with bilateral moderate hearing loss, Jia Ying went through her early schooling years feeling isolated as she struggled with dismissive and frustrated attitudes from those whom she requested to repeat themselves. She is now a final-year undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Real Estate at the National University of Singapore, and is one of the recipients of the Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation Scholarship for Persons with Disabilities in 2024.

Eugene Seah was born with Apert Syndrome, a genetic disorder that caused him to have an abnormal head shape and facial features as well as fused fingers. The 24-year-old is a first-year social work undergraduate at the National University of Singapore, and is one of the recipients of the Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation Scholarship for Persons with Disabilities 2024.

22-year-old Daniel Lai was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder at a young age. He started his education journey at a special education school, which provided a supportive environment for his early development. At age seven, he transitioned to mainstream school – a shift that brought significant challenges.

Raphaella Renanthera Gautama was diagnosed at 15 with fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP), an ultra-rare genetic condition characterised by abnormal bone development of muscles, soft tissues and tendons.
