Singapore Pools, together with the Singapore Sports Council (SSC) and Football Association of Singapore (FAS), launched the second installment of Football With A Heart (FWAH). This executive 5-a-side football charity fundraiser tournament saw a record 40 teams registered, 12 more than last year’s.

The teams played out the full-day tournament held at the Jalan Besar Stadium on 24 August. The whole event ended on a high note with cheques totalling $540,000 being presented to nine beneficiaries at the FWAH Celebratory Dinner on 28 August at the Singapore Flyer with President Tony Tan as the Guest-of-Honour.

One of the event’s beneficiaries, SPD was presented with a cheque of $75,000.

said Mr Abhimanyau Pal, Executive Director, SPD.
