First, we welcomed a 13-member delegate from Malaysia led by Minister for Women, Family and Community Development Dato’ Sri Rohani Abdul Karim on 17 June.

We then hosted the wife of the Prime Minister of the German Federal State of Hesse and President of the Federal Council, Mrs Ursula Bouffier, along with five other delegates, including the wife of the German Ambassador Mrs Johanna Witter, on 30 June.

The two visits were enriching for us as hosts. Thoughts, ideas and information on how voluntary welfare organisations operate in respective sectors and countries were exchanged. Such sharing of knowledge, experiences and best practices can help in our aim for greater inclusion and result in better support for the disabled community.
