Customers of StarHub Mobile will find it very easy to do their part for the community with the 4G4Good initiative. From 12 July 2014, eligible StarHub post-paid mobile customers would be able to pledge their unused talk-time, data and SMS for the month of August 2014 in support of five selected beneficiaries including SPD.

Explaining the rationale behind 4G4Good in a media statement, Ms Jeannie Ong, StarHub’s Chief Marketing Officer, stressed the importance of communication in this increasingly connected world. “For those who are in less privileged situations, such as those from our selected beneficiaries, mobile communication can be a luxury they can ill afford. Actually, many people in Singapore want to help the less privileged. We look forward to offering them a simple and convenient way to do their part, amidst their busy schedules,” she added.

All eligible StarHub Mobile post-paid customers can opt to pledge their unused talk-time, data and SMS for their August billing cycle between 12 July and 31 August 2014 by SMSing Opt-in to 6904, visiting www.starhub.com/4Good or via Near Field Communication tap at StarHub shops. Pledges from billing cycles ending in August 2014 will be consolidated and the talk-time, data and SMS offered to the beneficiaries from October 2014.

StarHub customers can also donate any pre-owned mobile smartphones and chargers that are in working condition at selected StarHub Shops and at StarHub Green from 12 July till 31 December 2014.
