The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany His Excellency Dr Michael Witter and Mrs Johanna Witter hosted the Race Car Live Painting and Auction event for members of the German community in Singapore and other guests at His Excellency’s residence on 21 September 2015.

Renowned German artist Armin Flossdorf, well-recognised within the motorsport scene for his action paintings of Formula One cars, was invited to create one from scratch at the event to be auctioned off with proceeds donated to SPD. The finished painting was auctioned off at the end of the evening.

A $10,000 cheque, courtesy of successful painting bidder Mr Frank Steinhaeuser, was presented to SPD President Ms Chia Yong Yong at the Jubilee Picnic and Concert. Held on 26 September at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, the event celebrated both the 25th day of German Unity and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Germany.
